What to expect
I offer a warm, accepting and confidential space for clients to explore and better understand themselves and their lives. Ultimately this process provides an opportunity for healing, change and growth.
You can can expect to be heard in a non-judgemental and supportive way. I want to understand what is going on for you and what you would like to change in your life. Together we will identify what may be holding you back, and work to look at how you may move forward in a way that serves you better. You can read more about my Counselling Approach here.
In our first session I will invite you to tell me a little about what has brought you for counselling. I will work with you to explore what you want to get from counselling and help you work out if I am the right person for you. We will also give time to explore any questions or concerns you may have. All your sessions with me will be confidential and this is something I view as critical to the creation of a safe and trusting relationship. I will discuss confidentiality and its limits with you in our first session.
If you decide you want to continue counselling then we will arrange a time for our next session. Each session lasts 60 minutes, and we would usually meet at the same time each week, however this is flexible. I do not require you to agree to a set number of sessions as this depends on each person and is something that generally you as client will decide. I will give time to reviewing how you are finding the counselling process and opportunities for you to feedback on what you are finding helpful and what areas you would like to explore more of.
The session fee is €60. I see a limited number of clients for a reduced fee depending on their circumstances (for example: unemployed or student status). I operate a 24 hour cancellation policy.
